This gravesite is located in Section F-1 of the Glenwood Cemetery.  Glenwood Cemetery is located at 2525 Washington Avenue, Houston, Harris County, Texas.  On November 21, 2009, an Official Texas Historical Marker will be dedicated at the gravesite of Anson Jones in Glenwood Cemetery.

The echo of his words lingers in the

Councils of his Country, alone unheard by

ears of deaf to the claims of merit, dull to

the voice of Honor and dead to the calls

of Justice;

To them the sand

To Thee the Marble!

Born 20th of January 1798,

Immigrated October 1833,

Departed 9th of January 1858,

Let him rest in peace,

Safe in the hand of one Disposing Power,

Or in the natal or mortal hour.
