The Star of the
Republic Museum Wants You
At the celebration of Texas Independence on March 2, 2010 at
Washington-on-the-Brazos, it was announced that the Star of the
Republic Museum is searching for the descendants of the 59
signers of the Texas Declaration of Independence.
The announcement reads: "The Star of the Republic Museum is
launching a long-term genealogical project to identify living
descendants of the 50 men who signed the Texas Declaration of
Independence here at Washington on the Brazos in 1836.
Descendants will be recognized in March 2011 in commemoration
of the 175th Anniversary of the signing of the Texas
Declaration."
The Star of the Republic Museum needs your ancestor's name,
your name, mailing address, telephone number and email address.
